Tis The Season To Be Freezin'

I hope everyone has been staying warm! I know that's been pretty hard with all this Winter weather, but with an unhealthy amount of hot chocolate anything is possible right?!

Normal snow day festivities typically include: snow ball fights, snow man building, snow angel making (which personally I refuse to do because who's idea of a good time is submerging one's self into snow?!), snow cream making, and anything else you can think of beginning with the word "snow". However, if anyone else is an over thinker (Don't feel bad, I'm sure at one point or another we've all over thought ourselves to sleep before!) snow may cause you to reflect on some things.

Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.

-Isaiah 1:18-

Snow can symbolize a new start, a fresh blank white canvas, ready for you to make your mark! Now to me, that sounds a lot like repentance. When we as God's children confess our sins to our Father, imagine snow falling on our lives. All the things in your past that caused your head to hang in shame, is now covered in white! God has blessed you with a beautiful and perfect new beginning, and He's waiting to see what you do with it!

In 1 Peter 2:9 we are referred to as a peculiar people. We are chosen, hand picked by God. Each child is different, and gifted different talents. As brothers and sisters in Christ we are all different, just as each snowflake is different. We are all intricate, and beautiful in our own special way. A snowflake on it's own is just a snowflake, but look what happens when they join together. Much like snowflakes join

together to cover the Earth, God's people are best when they work together for the kingdom. 4. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Romans 12:4-5. Don't question if you are where you are supposed to be. God's plan always works together for good. No snowflake ever lands in the wrong place.

As a kid do you recall what it was like to go to bed at night, and then waking up the next morning to find that while you were sleeping it had snowed? The pure excitement of looking out a window at the blinding white powder that covered your yard? That's kind of like how God works in our lives. He's working things out for you when you don't even realize it! Right in the middle of your valley when help seems so far away, Heaven is working for you! You have been met in the middle of your night and in the morning something beautiful awaits you!

Like always I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my posts! I know life can get pretty busy so it means so much that you take the time out to read what I have to say! Xoxo
